Legally Blonde is a musical about a girl who's the average ditzy blonde. Through a series of unforeseeable events she ends up in law school, where the plot continually twists and turns with hilarious mistakes by both the blonde and her associates. Finally a musical that can be funny, silly and intelligible, all at the same time. Anyone looking for a theater experience that isn't as heavy artistically or conceptually as many of the Broadway productions are, Legally Blonde does an amazing job of keeping it sophisticated and funny at the same time, without driving away the people who don't want to sit through a three hour artistic rendition of Shakespeare.
The production has received numerous awards since its first performance, including a Tony award for best book of a musical, best original score, and best costume design of a musical. The music's great, and the show is a must see even for those who have already seen the movie or read the book. The original musical score adds a depth to it that you simply don't get anywhere else, so snag some tickets and prepare to enjoy yourself!
