San Jose Sharks Tickets Information |
San Jose Sharks is a member of the National Hockey League of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. This great ice hockey team is based out of San Jose, California with the HP Pavilion at San Jose “The Shark Tank” their home arena. The team colors are pacific teal, black, and orange. The Sharks was founded in 1991 by two huge businessmen George and Gordon Gund. The Gunds was owners of the North Stars an ice hockey team out of Minnesota but sold it Howard Baldwin. The Gunds came up with the name Sharks for their team because sharks were popular for being relentless, determined, swift, bright, and fearless.
The San Jose Sharks struggled their first two seasons where they were playing at the Cow Palace in Daly City. In 1993 they began their third season at their now current home in the HP Pavilion at San Jose. Their coach Kevin Constantine led the Sharks to a 33-35-16 record which was a 58 point jump from the last season. The Sharks found their way to their first Pacific Division Championship win at the end of the 1995-96 seasons.
