Many Montreal citizens take their hokey very seriously, so if you’re going to attend a home game and root for the other team, prepare for a barrage from the loyal fans. Perhaps what makes Montreal Canadien games so much fun is that the loyal fans are incredibly respectful, and while they will defend their team, everything they do is in good fun and it’s never taken out of hand.
While the Canadiens haven’t won a Stanley Cup in 14 years, they’ve secured a division championship just least year. The team is still far from perfect but they’re building up a great new roster and working on their rookie players and hopefully will achieve the level of play they were at during the 90s.
Like true fans however, their local Montreal citizens won’t give up on them and continue to root for them through thick and thin. If you want to get a look at what real hockey looks like, then go ahead and purchase a ticket for a Canadien’s game, they are the epitome of what the NHL should be and act like.
