The hockey team known as the Dallas Starts was previously known as the Minnesota North Stars which began playing in 1967. The team switched names in 1993. In the past ten seasons the team has won two Presidents’ Trophies for the best overall regular season record and also won seven division titles and two Western Conference titles.
