Detroit Lions Tickets Information

The Detroit Lions, who regularly plays their home games at the Ford Field which was the venue of the Super Bowl XL, have struggled to maintain their place in the National Football League's competitive arena. But no matter how they stand, the Detroit Lions have always been a crowd drawer.

The Detroit Lions used to be known as the Portsmouth Spartans of Ohio until they moved to Detroit and started calling themselves the Lions. This was after the ownership of the team was purchased by George Richards. The change of name and city may have been lucky for the Detroit Lions because they won the NFL titles in 1935, 1952, 1953 and 1957. They are not sitting down on their laurels though because this early, the Detroit Lions are stocking up on young and talented players. The discouraging turn out of the 2006 NFC North games for the Detroit Lions is now a thing of the past especially with the new drafts in 2007 like Cliff Russell Marcus Robinson.

The 1950s was an exciting year for the Detroit Lions who won four Western Division crowns in addition to their three NFL titles. The years 1958 to 1981 were however disappointing ones for the team as they reached the postseason only once. Will 2008 be an eventful year for the Detroit Lions? Get your Detroit Lions tickets now and see the games live!
