The Alamo Bowl is played at the Alamodome Stadium located in San Antonio, Texas. The Alamodome Stadium holds an impressive 63,000 plus fans. While the Valero Energy Corporation has sponsored the event since 2007, players demonstrate unyielding energy of their own on the field. The first Alamo Bowl occurred in 1993 with the California Golden Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes making their debuts. The infamous Penn State Nittany Lions and the Texas A&M Aggies later appeared in the 2007 Valero Alamo Bowl whereby the Nittany Lions took home the trophy.
Given the bowl game's scheduled events, make certain you purchase your Alamo Bowl tickets early. Competition for tickets and competition on the field will be tough.
