The group's origins lie within the remains of a disbanded country and alternative rock group called Uncle Tupelo. The band has had a rough time finding the right sound, and their own voice. But when they eventually did, they took off and took no prisoners in their all out style of rock 'n roll that impressed many. Their first album entitled "A.M." was released in 1995 to a lukewarm response. Many claimed the album lacked direction, and that given time, the band would come into their own, and eventually that prediction came true. Upon release of their second album, entitled "Being There", which came out in 1996, the band received a much better response from critics and fans alike. The album was hailed as a gem, and one gnarly piece of rock n roll. Since that time, the band has continued to produce albums and go on tour. They have also evolved their style of music even further.
Currently experimenting with alternative rock and some limited country music, the band is putting out fresh material that's going in a whole new direction. If you're excited to see them live, or want to hear a piece of their new material, then there is no better place to do so than in the audience of one of their live shows.
