The Dan Band is a very popular and successful cover band based out of Los Angeles, California. The band was created by Dan Finnerty who is a comedian as well as an actor. Dan has appeared in several notable roles in movies such as Old School, The Terminal, and Starsky & Hutch. He sung the song “Total Eclipse of the Heart” in Old School. And he performed Roberta Flack’s “Feel Like Makin’ Love” in the Starsky & Hutch movie. The band recently filmed a one hour concert of their live show, Dan Finnerty & The Dan Band: I Am Woman, which was directed by McG and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. The one hour concert was filmed for the Bravo network. The band has been signed to a number of record labels during the years including SideOneDummy Records and Reincarnate Records.
The Dan Band has made a number of appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres show as the house band. They have also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Late show, Last Call with Carson Daly and CD USA. The group has released a total of two studio albums to date. The band’s debut studio album, The Dan Band Live, was released in 2005. The group’s most recent album, Ho: A Dan Band Christmas, was released in 2007.
