Started in 2002, the Sasquatch Festival has had numerous mainstream headliners such as Beastie Boys, Pixies, and Nine Inch Nails. The festival originally featured only a handful of bands who performed over the course of a single day. Since then, the list of performers has exploded, and now dozens of artists play over the span of two or three days. The real draw of the Sasquatch festival is the noticeable diversity in its artists.
Anyone attending all three days of the festival has the opportunity to see bands perform everything from metal, to indie, to blues, all in one place. The 2008 festival currently has the most packed lineup in the history of the festival, with such bands as Modest Mouse, and R.E.M. In addition to music, the 2008 Sasquatch festival will feature a brand new comedy tent, where local standup comedians will crack a joke or two in hopes of getting a chuckle out of the exhausted attendees.
As the festival continues to grow, the recognition it receives and the quality of its performers continue to rise.
