Born in 1971 and being of Irish decent, it is somewhat surprising the Sara Evans chose to get into country music as a profession. However, early on in her life she was performing in local nightclubs and getting very good response from people who said they loved her voice. She decided at that time that singing and songwriting was the path that she was going to take, and in 1997 she released her debut album, "Three Chords and the Truth", which only achieved a ranking of 56 on the US country charts. That didn't get her down, she continued to refine her voice, and her popularity grew as she gained more experience. Her latest album, "Real Fine Place", which was released in 2005, hit the number one spot on the US country charts and stayed there for quite some time.
Sara Evans is currently touring around the country, singing and meeting the small town people who have inspired many of her songs. Those who love a real clean sounding country singer should go ahead and check her out.
