This guitarist hails from Peabody, Massachusetts and was born in 1977. Mainly playing a mixture of funk, reggae, folk, Americana, jazz, blues, soul, and rock, Ryan Montbleau also specializes on some acoustic songs that he writes himself. As early at nine years old he was already given his first guitar, but it was only in college that he got really serious with his music. After graduating college he moved to Boston where he played in the House of Blues in 1999 as well as other small venues in clubs and coffee shops. He played these places with his partner who was a percussionist. During those times they were known as Palabra. Today, the Ryan Montbleau Band is made up of Ryan on vocals, James Cohen on drums, Jason Cohen on piano and Moog, Laurence Scudder on viola, and Matt Giannaros on bass.
In 2007 Ryan Montbleau won in the Boston Music Awards as the Best Local Male Vocalist. In the same year he also won and International Songwriting Competition in two categories: lyrics (2nd) and performance (3rd). This is one talent that shouldn’t be missed when he performs live onstage. Buy your Ryan Montbleau Band tickets today, here at www.ticketscompared.com.
