Born in the mid-west state of Oklahoma, Reba was in the right place at the right time to propel her country career onto a national level. Reba was born to two sharecroppers who were anything but wealthy; this however didn’t dampen her spirit early on. Having always written about day to day life as she knew it with a friendly yet somewhat foreign narrative, Reba’s music quickly caught on and she caught the eye of the major record labels.
Starting in the 70s her country albums such as “Out of a Dream” made her well known, however it wasn’t until the 90s that her personality which is much a part of her music caught on and she was offered her own show on television. Becoming a practitioner of dual talents came easy to Reba and she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
With more awards than are able to be listed, Reba is anything but unrecognized. She isn’t the most well known performer; however she is one of the most widely appealing country artists to have played in a great while.
