Rascal Flatts was formed in Nashville, Tennessee back in 2000. The band consists of three members Jay DeMarcus on bass guitar and vocals, Gary LeVox on lead vocals and Joe Don Rooney on lead guitar and vocals. To date, Rascal Flatts has released five studio albums and one live compilation. Unlike many groups that get the big head and splitting up after becoming successful Rascal Flatts has continued since 2000 with no band member splitting from the ground. The band’s first album was released in 2000. Titled Rascal Flatts the album went two times multi platinum in the United States. Their second album, Melt, did the same exact thing which cemented the bands name into music history.
Having twenty one singles on the United States Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, eight which reached number one, is a major testament to the band’s success. The group also released a song for the 2006 film Cars which also reached the country music charts. Rascal Flatts performed with American Idol alumni Carrie Underwood at the 2007 Grammy Awards ceremony.
