Magnetic Fields Tickets will not get you through to one of physic’s outstanding discoveries but it will give you access to one of the live shows of Stephin Merritt and his band. The band plays synthpop music which has become popular in the 1980s. Stephin Merritt’s songs released under Magnetic Fields talk about love that turns humorous, butter and ironic and these can be heard in the clever lyrics of the Magnetic Fields. The band is supported by several vocalists including Merritt himself as well as Susan Anway and Shirley Simms. Aside from Merritt, Magnetic Field is composed of Group Manager Claudia Gonson who also handles percussion and piano, Sam Davol on the flute and cello, John Woo on the guitars and the banjo. |

Magnetic Fields Tickets Information |
Magnetic Fields started as a studio project with the name Buffalo Rome. Stephin Merritt first played all the instruments. With Claudia Gonson’s help, Merritt assembled a live band that played his compositions. Magnetic Field first performed to a sparse audience in Cambridge Massachusetts’ Bear Place. The band is best remembered for their “69 Love Songs” triple album which was released in 1999. The album is a great collection as it featured unorthodox musical instruments like the mandolin, accordion, ukulele, banjo and Marxophone. The Magnetic Fields released their Distortion album in 2008 so you can expect the band to go on tours this year to promote the album. Book your Magnetic Fields Tickets and discover the world of music without synthesizers most of the time.
