Daniel Lawrence Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, was born February 1963 in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He is an all American stand up comedian that is famous for making people laugh while saying some of the most crazy things any comedian has even delivered on stage. He is known for his redneck comedy. When Whitney turned thirteen his parents decided to relocate to Palm Beach County, Florida. In 1985 Whitney started performing in local comedy clubs. He decided to pursue his career in Blue Springs, Missouri in 1991 he began calling into the radio stations as fictional characters. It was suggested that Whitney call in as a fictional cable installer on the radio comedy show. This was the change that gave Whitney his great opportunity for stardom.
Daniel Whitney continued performing call ins with radio stations throughout different states; Florida, Nebraska, Maryland and Kansas City. In 2005 he was featured on a music video with Gretchen Wilson playing dual roles. In 2006, he became the voice of “Mater” which was an animated tow truck in the Disney video “Cars.”
