Much of Jeff Foxworthy’s act revolves around being an average, everyday guy. He draws off the embarrassing and stupid situations that many people find themselves in on a day to day basis. What many love most about Jeff Foxworthy is that his comedic style is refreshing, none of his jokes seem contrived, and they don’t come off as the product of some character that he plays. Instead, his act flows naturally and feels very real to most audience members. If you sit down in the audience you’ll most likely find yourself laughing at an event that has probably, at one time or another, happened to you. Jeff Foxworthy has been actively telling jokes since the mid 80s, but it wasn’t until he participated in the Blue Collar Comedy special, where he told jokes about hunting, being a redneck and being a man, that he truly became popular.
Recently Jeff Foxworthy has furthered his career even more by appearing on Fox’s game show ‘Are you smarter than a fifth grader’, where simple questions are answered and compared to a panel of fifth graders. It’s on this show that he’s maintained his fame and has been able to flex his funny bone from time to time.
