Starting his career in 1962 with the album ‘Takin’ Off’ he quickly became recognized as one of the most prolific and talented jazz artists ever to record music. His skill on the piano was unmatched and his composition skills were just as good. Herbie Hancock was one of the few jazz musicians at the time who truly understand how music was composed and the fundamentals of composing jazz music. In fact Herbie invented many of the fundamentals he spoke about back in the early 60’s. It’s not forty years later and Herbie has been involved in almost fifty albums and has won more awards than nearly any other jazz artist.
To see Herbie Hancock live would be seeing a living legend and that’s just what the people have the chance to do because he’s going on a 2008 tour! Anyone who’s even listened to jazz in their life should be jumping at the opportunity because these icons don’t last forever and when they’re gone, sadly they’re gone forever. Get your tickets as soon as possible if you want to see Herbie Hancock, they’ll go fast and jazz enthusiasts from around the world will be coming in to see him play live one last time.
