Armed with a guitar and a voice that would make the pavement feel smooth, George Thorogood has been putting on blues shows that are unlike anything else on earth for decades. There’s something so completely foreign, yet so enticing about George Thorogood’s take on what blues rock should be, which in his mind is rough and heartfelt as opposed to the generic sounding twang and mellow voice of the masses. |

George Thorogood Tickets Information |
Recording his demo in 1974, and releasing it five years later in 1979, George Thorogood has been practicing and playing blues for longer than many of his fans have been alive. In addition to his dozen or so studio albums, he’s released an impressive eight live and compilation albums, which were received incredibly well by the blues fans thirsting for something original. George Thorogood has regularly been credited for advancing the blues rock genre, and keeping it from stagnating, which too often leads to a genre to drop off fan’s radar.
Although blues isn’t the most popular genre at the moment, his rough vocal style and aggressive guitar playing has undoubtedly influenced many prominent rock and alternative artists looking for a new route to take their sound. His latest album, ‘The Hard Stuff’, peaked at spot 27 on the top 100 chart, which is quite the accomplishment for most blues artists. But for George Thorogood, the man of originality, it’s just another day’s work. Catch him live for an unbelievably slick and exciting time.
