Edward Sharpe is actually a band what is more famously known as Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. There is no actual person named Edward Sharpe in the band itself. In fact, the band's lead vocalist is a man named Alex Ebert. He is also the vocalist of another power pop group known as Ima Robot. The band was able to release an album twice in two different formats. In July of 2009, they released a digital version of their album Up From Below. They then followed up the release a week later in July of 2009 with a physical release under the label Vagrant Records. The band first played together on July 18 2007 in California and they have been known for their hit songs Home and Janglin.
Edward Sharpe is actually the character in a story that Alex Ebert created himself. The Sharpe that he wrote about was someone who was to help mankind and the whole world. The character is also distracted by all the women he keeps falling in love with. Quirky and essential, you will have to score yourself Edward Sharpe tickets on www.ticketscompared.com to get the full concert experience of a band that you have definitely not heard before.
