Are you a deadhead? Do you know who the Grateful Dead is? If yes, then watch and listen to their songs played out live with the Dark Star Ocherstra (DSO). If not, then let DSO show you why the Dead, as how fans call the band, were considered to be one of the greatest rock bands ever. DSO is famous for following exactly where the Dead held their concerts. So far, DSO had already played more than 1,600 shows as they approach the Dead’s record of holding 2,500 concerts. If you are a fan of the Dead, or want to find out how Grateful Dead sounded live, then you can watch the DSO as they resurrect the Dead. Dark Star Orchestra Tickets Information |
The band was the idea of guitarist John Kadlecik. His idea of perfoming all the Grateful Dead concerts gained common ground with another musician named Scott Larned. Dark Star Orchestra held their first show at Martyr’s in Chicago on November, 1997. From an initial audience of 78, they already had sold-out tickets after the fourth week of playing. The band’s success is credited to their fanatical attention to detail in making the Dead come alive. With the band’s rising popularity, came recognition from the remaining members of the Grateful Dead themselves. On a few occasions, the original members came on stage to play with the Dark Star Orchestra.
As the Dark Star Orchestra hop across the US as they follow where the Grateful Dead once played, you can watch them play at the most convenient venue by looking at the concert schedule that is also posted here at www.ticketscompared.com.
