Born in Brooklyn, New York, Andrew was an actor appearing in 1990s low budget Porn films in the early stages of his career. He began his career as a dirty comedian. He developed his own style of stand-up comedy by picking on members of the audience when he felt like he's running out of jokes. This style eventually became his trademark and he became one of the most verbally abusive and confrontational performance artists around. He began using violent sexual imagery, making fun of fat people, joking around women that got his audience sick of him. After people stopped going to his shows, he decided to clean up his act and tried his luck in sitcoms. The sitcom however flopped so he began selling his CDs through his website.

In 2001, he got a new record label and returned to what he has become infamous for — dirty comedy. When he goes on stage, he doesn't have a joke in mind. Instead, he begins and ends his act pestering everybody, picking his audiences and at times provoking them to react. What's amazing is that his audience began to accept his style of comedy. Clay's delivery is spectacular even when his jokes are weak. Others would say that he doesn't say funny things, but he says things funny in his thick Brooklyn accent.
