Getting his start in 1989, Alan Jackson quickly realized that by combining more popular country music with the original sounds of honky-tonk, he could create a type of music that would be immensely popular and thus he created the first country–pop albums. Being born in Georgia, his travel to the country’s music capital of the world, Tennessee wasn’t a long one. Once there he quickly found a job where he could network and acquire the necessary connections that would allow him to record his music and get his big break. This big break came with the release of his first album in 1990 entitled “Here in the Real World”; the album topped out at the number four spot on the US country charts. This didn’t stop Alan Jackson however and he quickly rocketed to the number one spot when he released his third album in 1992 called “A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'Bout Love)”.
Alan has won numerous awards ranging from small local award to a Grammy in 2002. Currently Alan Jackson is back on the road and playing his unique brand of country–pop during his 2008 tour.
